Mobile Life

The future of computing is in the cloud. The cloud is basically the Internet, but it has a little more meaning. It is the ability to compute anywhere and everywhere. I got an iPhone a month ago and has allowed me to be more mobile in my computing. There are now very few tasks that I need to sit at a computer for. It is a taste of the future where the desk will no longer be needed for our computing needs. I'm so mobile that I wrote this from my phone. :)

Mice

I finally caught the mouse. There has been a mouse running around my house for a few days. I haven't had the time to go get traps for it, with school and work. So I have been hearing a little mouse run across the floor at night for some time.

But vicitory is mine today as I hold the mouse in the trap. I almost got it earlier in the day, but it freaked out in the trap and got out. So i duct taped the trap down to the floor, came back 20 minutes later, and there he was.

At least I know i can out smart a mouse.

Others

When we are growing up we are told to "Treat others like we want to be treated". This is a fantastic idea, if everyone treated everyone like they wanted to, then it would be a very wonderful world. This is why I call it fantastic, becuase it is a fantasy to an extent, if everyone in the world is going to be kind. But we can change that, it starts at home, if we ourselves treat others nice and with respect, then maybe we will affect others to encourage them to be kind as well. In a sense we are paying forword the kindness we were shown.

Dont treat others with disdain because you don't like them. Its not your place to judge. I think about the Hebrew meaning of my name, which is "God is judge", He is the one judgeing, so we do not need to.

Just be kind, isn't that what you want?

The robot that I have been working on for a few months is finally coming together. I have been spending my time building the various sensors required.

Snow Day

We got snow at the house today. This is the first time i can remember getting real snow to stay on the ground. It has been snowing for about two hours now. It is awesome to see it. This is the first snow at the house. SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being Thankful

I am here at Lauren's for the Thanksgiving holiday. We leave tomorrow morning to head back home. School starts on Wednesday. At work we are in the process of raising money for St. Jude. With this fundraiser we are reminded to be thankful for our health, friends, and family. I had a friend die many years ago due to cancer. I have been thinking about him lately and being thankful for every day that is given to me.

Always be thankful.
