Others

When we are growing up we are told to "Treat others like we want to be treated". This is a fantastic idea, if everyone treated everyone like they wanted to, then it would be a very wonderful world. This is why I call it fantastic, becuase it is a fantasy to an extent, if everyone in the world is going to be kind. But we can change that, it starts at home, if we ourselves treat others nice and with respect, then maybe we will affect others to encourage them to be kind as well. In a sense we are paying forword the kindness we were shown.

Dont treat others with disdain because you don't like them. Its not your place to judge. I think about the Hebrew meaning of my name, which is "God is judge", He is the one judgeing, so we do not need to.

Just be kind, isn't that what you want?

You are so right, Daniel...unfortunately it seems that the people we love the most are the ones we treat the worst. It is hard to deal with being treated harshly, being judged unfairly by someone who has never walked in your shoes, being condemned without the other party taking any responsibility in the relationship. As parents, you look back and evaluate what you could have done, should have done, didn't do, did do...and we have certainly done that. With that, we know that in all of our failures, and there are many...many which we have already apoligized to you for...we raised you for one purpose-to give you back to God. Our hearts have been crushed over and over in realizing that is not your life goal. The letter you wrote to your sister was anti-God...yet, you quote Biblical principles to live your life. God allows everything in our life for His purposes, not our own. I know you feel like we haven't always been there, but we have tried to be. We too feel like you haven't been there for us, or for your siblings. We needed to know you cared about us, our family, what we were going through, and were willing to make sacrifices too for us. You haven't been there, and you haven't been willing to sacrifice anything for us. I am saddened...we are all under the same judgement and we ALL have the same responsibility to treat people the way we want to be treated. You too should make changes to be that "better" person you are striving to be.
